ABOUT THIS WEBSITE
STATUTORY DISCLOSURE:
This website is domiciled in NEW ZEALAND. Contact is by e-mail in the first instance.
HERE ARE THE DETAILS OF THIS WEBSITE:
THE PHOTOGRAPHER:
The photographer on this
site is IAIN LOVIE, who has been photographing ships since 1964 and his
photograph and negative collection total over 100,000. He is based in
New Zealand, but also photographs ships in other NZ ports,
Australia and Singapore. His collection and current "Offers" feature the work of photographers from around the world.
Click here for a list of the current photographers.
THE PHOTOGRAPHS:
All the photographs are standard 6" x 4" (10 x 15cm) format, and most can be enlarged up to A4 size. There is a large archive collection of
black&white negatives, which are available through the Photo Lists
page. Current photographs are in colour only, film-based photographs being processed by a Kodak laboratory, and digital media being processed
by PC. Samples of these photographs
can be found on all the photo OFFER and LISTS pages and by clicking on the "GALLERIES" button.
NOTE: Iain does his own black & white and digital processing and there is usually a time delay in their production..
INSURANCE: Optional replacement insurance is available at a moderate cost to cover loss or damage in transit.
OFFERS:
Photographs are distributed initially by regular "Photo Offers".
Offers are distributed each month by email to Photo Club members who enjoy discounted prices and free insurance cover.
For details of the Photo Club, please enter your name and country of residence in this
e-mail
LISTS:
The photographs from the offers are
integrated with existing Colour lists when the offer is no longer valid. The Colour Lists are alpha listed by name in specific type
(eg Tanker, Reefer, etc.) As list photographs are considered "one-off", and are time consumingto produce,
these photographs are more expensive than on the Offer sheets. Click on the "FOTO LISTS" button to go to the index page.
ABBREVIATIONS/COUNTRY CODES:
For your
convenience, two lists are available for downloading, one details the
abbreviations used in the LISTS and OFFERS, the other details the
three-letter Country codes.
